Brett M. Nemyo, 57, of Thornhurst, Pa., is charged by Clearfield state police with felony rape of child, statutory sexual assault, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with a child, aggravated indecent assault and corruption of minors (two counts), as well as misdemeanor indecent assault.

The charges stem from incidents that occurred at a Beccaria Township home in fall 2021, according to the affidavit of probable cause filed with the Houtzdale magistrate’s office.

During forensic interviews at the Child Advocacy Center of Clearfield County, the victim told authorities that Nemyo sexually assaulted her in a hot tub, and forced her to perform sex acts on him once they got out.

He also allegedly made her watch pornography multiple times on his phone.

The victim said Nemyo offered her gifts before asking if he could perform sex acts on her. She said he gave her a necklace, make-up, a bathing suit as well as a Nintendo Switch.

Nemyo is scheduled for a preliminary hearing May 31 before Magisterial District Judge James B. Glass at the Clearfield County Courthouse. Bail is set at $75,000, unsecured.
