Josh, who has been employed at Brookville Equipment Corporation for the past eight years, initially started as a Mechanical Engineer. Over time, his journey led him to his current role as a Senior Mechanical Engineer.

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, Josh takes on a higher level of leadership within the company. His responsibilities have expanded significantly since his days as a Mechanical Engineer. In addition to his leadership role, Josh is actively involved in various stages of project development. From the conception of a project to testing and final product delivery, he plays a crucial role. This includes tasks such as prototyping, fabricating, final assembly, and testing. Josh also conducts continuous research to ensure that the equipment he designs meets the necessary standards. Furthermore, he maintains communication with multiple departments at BROOKVILLE to ensure customer satisfaction.

When it comes to the types of equipment he works on, Josh doesn’t have a single favorite. Each type has its unique challenges and rewards. He particularly enjoys working on historic streetcars, relishing the opportunity to restore their historical elements. Simultaneously, he appreciates the engineering process involved in working with the cutting-edge technology of modern streetcars. In the realm of mining equipment, Josh values the creative freedom it offers. Unlike other projects, there are fewer hurdles, allowing him to forge his own path. Regardless of the specific design, Josh’s top priority is ensuring that the equipment he creates is safe for its users.

When asked about his motivation at work, Josh replied, “It’s all internal for me. I find satisfaction in knowing what I’ve accomplished during the day. Going home with that sense of achievement is what drives me.”
