Susan Elizabeth Reichard

Susan Elizabeth Reichard, 64, of Sacramento, California, passed away on Thursday, April 18, 2024, at DuBois Nursing Home, with her mother, Carole Bergman by her side.

She was born in Pomona, Los Angeles County, California, on June 12, 1959, a daughter of John David Philler and Carole Jeanne (Fellows) Philler.

Her adoptive father was Edwin Walter Reichard. He precedes her in death.

Susan was an accountant and worked with various companies during her working career.

She was incredibly independent and chose to live just the way she wanted to.

Just a few of her interests were traveling to wonderful destinations, being part of the Coloma Community Theatre Group, and the Sacramento Jazz Festival, crocheting, making fiber arts, and working intricate challenging puzzles.

She enjoyed history and learning.

She always had a fondness for cats and enjoyed the companionship of many wonderful pets over the years.

In addition to her mother Carole Bergman, she is survived by a brother, Russell T. (Rachel) Reichard of Chico, California; one sister, Melody (Stephen) Fleishauer of Pittsburgh; two stepbrothers, John (Susan) Bergman of Long Beach, California and Mark Bergman of Milpitas, California; a dear niece that took care of many details over the past few years, Melissa McCarthy of Pittsburgh; and numerous additional nieces and nephews that she also loved.

She was preceded in death by her father, Edwin Reichard, infant brother, Andrew James Walter Reichard, and beloved niece, Renee Reichard.

In accordance with Susan’s wishes, there will be no visitation or viewing.
