Joga Singh, 35 of New York, died of blunt force trauma from injuries he sustained in his commercial tractor trailer. Family members traveled to Clarion County from Queens, New York to identify his remains, according to Coroner Dan Shingledecker.

According to a representative of Clarion County’s 9-1-1 Dispatch Center, the call for assistance came in at 12:20 a.m. on Tuesday, March 19, for a multi-vehicle crash on the Emlenton Bridge.

The Emlenton Fire Department said over 20 vehicles, both commercial and passenger, were involved in the accident.

“The confined nature of the crash (between the high concrete barriers of the bridge) along with the overall size and severity of this incident made it particularly challenging,” said the department in a Facebook post.

“A SPECIAL thanks to the initial crew on scene from Emlenton Area Ambulance Service for a great job at initial triage and to the skilled telecommunicators at Clarion 911 and Venango 911 for their diligence in monitoring radio traffic and efficiently allocating requested resources,” the post added.

The following emergency personnel were called to the scene:
